"Les Miserables" (2012) - First teaser and stills

As I wrote a few months ago, "Les Miserables" is one of my most anticipated films of this year. I enjoyed very much the previous film by Tom Hooper, so I hope this one will be also great. Finally its first promo video was released. If you don't know it already, this 19th-century drama has a great cast, which includes Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen (he just has to play more serious characters). And you can hear Hathaway's singing a beautiful, but sad song during the time they present many important characters.

By the way, I'm going to read a book of the same name written by French novelist Victor Hugo first. I have plenty of time till December, when the premiere of "Les Miserables" is rumoured to happen.

P.S. Did you see that great anniversary logo of Universal Studios?

Below you can see my favourite stills of this film.

Why "Real Steel" should be a box office hit?

If you think it matters only for those people, who made "Real Steel" or involved into screening it, you are wrong. It is very important for us, the audience, because it will influence other upcoming movies of the same genre.

More about "Real Steel" (2011)!

Some reasons why "Real Steel" shouldn't fail

1. Nowadays every movie with special effects is being converted into 3D. I was very happy that "Real Steel" was screened in my favorite normal 2D format. But if it doesn't earn enough money, greedy studios will probably be disappointed and will convert everything in their precious 3D.

2. This story takes place in the near future, where people stopped beating up to death other people to get some money and a shiny belt. It's robots' work and they do it in the more impressive and harmless (for humans, of course) way. Maybe, someone will bring this idea to life... Keep dreaming, yeah?

3. It will inspire Shawn Levy to make such good movies.

4. Hugh Jackman can buy himself a new car, because it's his birthday today. Dakota Goyo can buy his first car, which he really deserved.

5. And if "Transformers 3" became one of the most successful movies of this year and of a decade, "Real Steel" isn't worse. In fact, i liked it more, because there was not just action and special effects, this movie had an interesting father/son story. In addition, the final fight was great, it made me feel like I was watching a real wrestling.

I wish "Real Steel" to remain on the top and don't lose its box office fight.

"Real Steel" (2011) - Posters and some thoughts

I'm very exited to see this movie, directed by Shawn Levy. It is mostly because of Hugh Jackman and that robot, which looks like the son of Sunny ("I, Robot") and Bumblebee ("Transformers") and has very beautiful blue eyes. I have no idea why some animated characters look unbelievably realistic, but I respect and admire every person, who is involved in creating them.

Movie's tagline says "Courage is stronger than steel." I like it. It inspires. It is about incredible strength of human spirit, which any machine can't have.

And one more thing why I love action movies, especially where robots are involved. It's soundtrack. I fell in love with that music, which is playing on "Real Steel" official website, and when I saw the list of songs on iTunes I was surprised in a good way.

"Real Steel" (2011) - Trailer

A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, "Real Steel" stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback. ( Official movie site ) Directed by Shawn Levy who isn't a critics' favorite, it still may have a chance to earn lots of money. I'm sure Hugh did everything he can to make this movie more interesting. And the kid plays no bad at all.
