Oscar 2012 - All Nominees

The full list of the nominees of the 84th Annual Academy Awards was announced this morning by Jennifer Lawrence, who was nominated for her performance in "Winter's Bone" in 2011.

"Hugo" has 11 chances to get an award; "The Artist" has 10 nominations; "Moneyball" and "War Horse" were honored with 6; "The Descendants" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" have 5 nominations each.

I'm going to see "The Artist" these days (it will be finally out in my country!), but I already know that I will hope it gets the Oscar in a month for Best Picture. My other predictions are selected with blue colour, but some nominations I left untouched, because I have no idea how they will choose winners for Film Editing, Best Documentary (I haven't watched none of them), Best Short Film or Sound Editing.

More about Oscar 2012!

Billy Crystal  is the Host, and the winners you will know on February 26.

British filmmaker Morgan Matthews was lucky to be present on the set of both "Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows" parts. His interesting documentary will be a bonus on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Thompson, Jason Isaacs, Robbie Coltrane, Gary Oldman, Warwick Davis, many other actors and studio staff members were interviewed for this documentary. It also shows how many impressive scenes were filmed, for example, there was a real fire on the Quidditch field.

"The Dark Knight Rises" (2012) - Trailer #1 and poster

Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise continues with this Warner Bros. release, the third in the series. The story will pick up after the events of "The Dark Knight", with David Goyer once again working on the script. The main parts are played by Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle), Tom Hardy (Bane), Gary Oldman (Gordon), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (John Blake), Marion Cotillard (Miranda Tate), Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson. (Rotten Tomatoes)

"Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" (2011) - Trailer

This fall one very mysterious story will hit our theaters. An ex-British agent George Smiley (Gary Oldman) is brought out of retirement to rout out a MI6 double agent in this adaptation of John Le Carre's novel called "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy". Why should we be interested in this movie? Because its cast is great (I never thought I’ll see all these talented British actors together in one movie.). Colin Firth, John Hurt, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch and Ciaran Hinds round out the starring cast, with Tomas Alfredson helming a script by Bridget O'Connor and Peter Straughan. But it isn’t the first time, when this novel is filmed. In 1979, the BBC aired a highly-acclaimed mini-series adaptation starring Alec Guiness in a rare small-screen appearance. (Rotten Tomatoes

Release dates - September 16, 2011 (UK), November 10, 2011 (Germany), November 18, 2011 (USA)
